I like this Walker fellow more now; I wish I had enjoyed the Moviegoer this much. Maybe it required Bourbon. Beyond pointing me to indispensable words like "bosky," this disquisition gleams with gems. It's hard to beat drinking bourbon "to reduce the anomie of the late twentieth century." But this comes close, "How could two women be more different than the beautiful languid Carolina girl and this swift handsome girl from Utica, best Dutch stock? One thing was sure. Each has to be courted, loved, drunk with, with Bourbon." It takes quite a man to write of bourbon and mention non-Eucledean geometry, anatomical terms, and Kierkegaardian life stages without sounnding like an asshole. But Walker does it.
